A few new pictures to share

I attended a club event here in Iowa and was happy to score some new fish. I got 28 new little Synodontis Petricola, and also scored a nice large quad of Perspicax Ndumbi from a local breeder here in the Quad Cities. These are from the trio I got from you Jason, they are bigger then the male I have of yours though. I don't know what he feeds these guys?!

Here are some of my other fish that I have gotten pictures of lately.

Nice. How does the blaze look on the RT ndumbi male from my trio? That was a nice strain!

He was really nice before I left for basic, but when I got back I don't know what happened. He totally toned down, the Sand Senga must have kept him down or something while I was gone. I thought he had died, because I didn't see a colorful male and he was colored all the time before. I am pretty sure he is alive now though, I have been thinning out that tank some and hopefully he will come around again. He was breeding kinda regularly before, hopefully he will kick it back into gear. The largest female (that didn't breed) died I think, but the medium sized female that did all the breeding is still in there. I moved all the Jewel spots out of there and now it is just the Ndumbi, Sand Senga, and whats left of the Kingsizei( like 3 of them).

Hopefully the RT ndumbi will color again. Here's the same fish a couple years back:

Yea he was impressive, although I don't recall his cap being quite that red. Very neon-like orange. This is one of his offspring that I sold to a local guy and rebought back. I got the 1M/3F that are a good 4", even the females pretty much.

At the time I was feeding a lot of that HBH soft&moist krill and (at that time at least) I'm pretty sure it was the same feed being used for salmon aquaculture as it was very high protein & lipid and had supplemental carotenoids (astaxanthin); the stuff really helped those RT ndumbi color nice as well as those "mpanga red" trewavasae.
