There appear to be four classified species [though I recognize T. maculiceps and T. polydon are suggested as a synonms of T. macrostoma] in this genus; suppose three species would be correct considering the synonms as T. macrostoma and counting N. fuscotaeniatus.

Most authorities seem to agree fuscotaeniatus is probably not consistent with other members of Nimbochromis. Here's a good quick explanation: http://malawicichlids.com/mw08063.htm

Haven't heard of many keeping these species around here. Big aquariums and robust size tankmates limit the folks able/interested in keeping them. I've seen stomach contents listed for these species including "6-8 cm mbuna" -which means they'd eat everything I currently keep.
